LOL, Nicky

-His good and bad movies and a fair share of balding (or maybe just bad haircuts)- we just love good ol' Nicholas Cage.

Self Portrait 1

-It's been awhile since I've done a self portrait- a small part of my past narcissist life still remains. *grin* Wanted to give it an Asian-pop art feel- tell me I succeeded!

Heath Ledger The Late

-Hollywood lost a big name yesterday when Heath Ledger was found dead in an apartment. Police say drug overdose may have played a part in the 28 year-old actor's death. This came as a shocker for me, even more astounding than the deaths of Anna Nicole Smith or even Steve Irwin last year. Had he not have acted in the repulsive Brokeback Mountain, I would have said he was a fairly good actor. But then again...

News: Heath Ledger Dead.

...it's good to start drawing 'comic art' again. Smooth, clean lines- they weren't as hard as I thought. Hopefully we'll see more of that in the future.

Cranky Old Codger

-Nothing's better than the good ol' black and white portraits, eh?

Boy With A Flower

-Instead of depending on digitally coloring, I decided to shade, or 'hatch', this piece with my good ol' pens. It was fun and interesting to play around with different methods and strokes, and I must say, this is one of my most enjoyable works in recent times. A pretty gloomy feel, but nonetheless enjoyable.

"Damn Barber."

-Wanted to experiment with a different 'texture' as an alternative to plain coloring for a certain part of a drawing, so I thought that someone with an outrageous hairdo would be interesting and entertaining to try it out on.

"Tell Us A Story, Grandpa!"

With a sparkle in his eye, Grandpa leaned back in his big, old armchair and laughed out heartily, "Okay, I'll tell you just one tale. I call it 'Grandpa Battles a Giant'."
-Just a random illustration I came up with, based on grandfathers and their renowned enchanting tales.

Welcome to my new blog- a place just for my drawings! I finally found the time to set this blog up after surfing (and getting inspired by) many artists' blogs. Hopefully I can find the time to upload my work regularly and more importantly, improve, and someday inspire others! *grin*
